My artwork communicates the dramatic effects and colors of nature, and is meaningful to me because I can express myself through painting when words fail me.  I can share deep emotion through color and texture, seascapes, landscapes and figurative works.  It is my solace and my way of recognizing that all is created by God and reflects His personality and character.  I was born and raised in Eastern Washington, where I married my husband of almost 30 years, and  we raised two daughters.  Currently we reside on Whidbey Island, WA.   My mother was an artist and I have some very good friends who are artists.   They have encouraged me when I’ve been discouraged and have inspired me to keep growing as an artist.  I’ve also been blessed to have studied with Stephanie Schuemann, a leading artist in the Northwest.

I am a member of the Whidbey Allied Arts Club.  I am currently showing my artwork in the new “Thrive” fitness center in Oak Harbor and Island Cafe.  I have been part of the Giclee’ Art Show sponsored by Fine Balance Imaging, Langley, WA which is an annual event.
